Linux NTP Configuration

Linux上でNTPの構成と言うのは、基本的に/etc/ntp.confファイルを編集することです。

既定でNTPのパッケージが入ってないので、NTPサーバーをインストールすることが必要です。(root)

#apt-get install ntp

インストールしたら、/etc/init.d/ntp,/etc/ntp.confファイルが作成されたことが確認できます。

ntp.confファイルの中身です。

# /etc/ntp.conf, configuration for ntpd; see ntp.conf(5) for help

driftfile /var/lib/ntp/ntp.drift

# Enable this if you want statistics to be logged.

#statsdir /var/log/ntpstats/

statistics loopstats peerstats clockstats

filegen loopstats file loopstats type day enable

filegen peerstats file peerstats type day enable

filegen clockstats file clockstats type day enable

# You do need to talk to an NTP server or two (or three).

server ntp.ubuntu.com

server ntp.nict.jp

ntpサービスを起動、停止、再起動するには、下記コマンドを実行すればいい。

$sudo service ntp start/stop/restart

あるいは

#/etc/init.d/ntp restart
